Wagener Terrace is another one of Charleston's more established neighborhoods. Located on a peninsula in the north western end of town, this charming community of 3,669 residents is bordered by the Ashley River to the west, Hampton Park to the south and North Central to the east. Other nearby communities includes West Ashley across the river, North Chaleston to the north, Cannonborough/Elliotborough to the far south and Mount Pleasant. The Wagener Terrace real estate market is made up of three smaller neighborhoods: Lowndes Point, Longborough and Wagener Terrace. While the bulk of properties were built in the 1920s-1950s, there has been a string of new luxury developments popping up along the Ashley River. What these homes do share in common are spacious lots with attractive suburban features like a yard and a close-knit community.
