Things to Do in Charleston for New Year's Eve

Start your New Year's Eve off right in the Holy City! Whether you are a local looking for a night on the town, or a visitor looking for inspiration, these three events will help you celebrate 2018 in classic low country style.

1. Masquerade at the Mansion BallĀ

Held downtown at the Restoration Hotel, the Mansion Ball combines mystery and fun in the form of a roaring 20's themed masquerade celebration. There are multiple live acts of music slated to perform, including Charleston's master violinist Seth G., and DJ Brandie Cannady. Prepare for a top-shelf open bar to come with cost of ticket, as well as light finger foods. And if it's a chilly evening, don't fret - coat check is available. You can purchase tickets for the Mansion Ball here.

2. Upscale Celebrating at Zero Restaurant + Bar

For the upscale reveler, we recommend spending your New Year's Eve at Zero Restaurant and Bar, located within the Zero George Hotel. This black-tie event is masquerade optional, and will feature live music from the Gatsby Gang Jazz Band. Tickets include a champagne, caviar, and hors d'oeuvres. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit the event website here.

3. Waterfront at the Rice Mill

Built in 1861, the Historic Rice Mill is a classic Charleston venue. Starting at 8 pm, party-goers will be treated to a beautiful evening right on the Ashley River. Tickets include an open bar and catering. A live DJ will be performing, and be sure not to miss the midnight champagne toast. Black tie is encouraged! You can purchase your tickets to Midnight at the Rice Mill here.
