Although both of Frederic’s parents come from Italian families, Frederic was born and raised in the South of France. While his Mom stayed at home, his Dad made a career out of buying, selling, and renovating real estate and was also in the French police. Although Frederic grew up around real estate, he initially decided to become a French Pastry Chef. At the age of 21, he moved to the United States to Tucson, AZ and for 5 years was in charge of a French bakery while attending college to earn a degree in Business.
In 1995 he moved to Paris and became a Real Estate Agent for Apalachee Bay, a company specializing in the sale and rental of properties to clients from all over the world.
In 1999, he moved back to the US, this time to Charleston, SC and became a resident. With the ability to live in both countries, he decided to spend the winters in Charleston and the summers in France. This allowed him to open an international Real Estate Company, Elie International Property, where he could show French properties to international clients.
In 2004, Frederic, remembering everything his Father taught him about Real Estate, opened a construction company with three partners. From this venture he gained valuable experience and knowledge by meeting with architects and engineers, working with US and foreign subcontractors, learning to read blue prints in foreign languages,negotiating with vendors, working with interior designers, finding prime pieces of land, and building property owner’s dream homes.
Today, he is still focused on real estate and enjoys every aspect of it (architecture, history, beautiful landscapes, selling and buying, emotion, finance, networking, negotiating, marketing), especially meeting with clients from different cultures. Recently married, Frederic enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, Esther. In their spare time, they enjoy cooking together, spending time at the beach in the summer and skiing in the winter, water skiing, playing tennis, swimming and, most recently, dancing. His favorite activity, however, is discovering a good book.
