Kristina Skalak began her real estate career working part-time for a downtown Charleston real estate firm while obtaining her BS in Business from the College of Charleston. Kristina fell in love with the city and remained here after graduation, where she worked full-time in the marketing department for another downtown luxury real estate firm. After obtaining her real estate license, she joined Handsome Properties in 2008 as Director of Marketing.
Combining her passion for photography with real estate, Kristina uses her skill and creativity to develop a variety of marketing materials for Handsome Properties. Her creative skills are evident in her work, which has been featured in prominent national publications.
Kristina is a member of the Charleston Young Professionals, the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, the South Carolina Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, running at the park, art walks downtown, and reading a good book while relaxing by the pool.

My Favorite Thing about Charleston:
"No matter how long I live in Charleston, I will always enjoy being a tourist in my own town. Every day, I find something new to photograph, whether it be a hidden alley or a secret garden. I really love to photograph the intricate iron gates and unique architectural features of the handsome, old dwellings found throughout historic downtown. And the best part is that I can walk the whole time.
I also enjoy Charleston’s art scene, such as the downtown Art Walks on Friday evenings.”
